Tallahassee Museum Animal Department looking for volunteers

TALLAHASSEE, Fla (Red Hills Report) – The Tallahassee Museum Animal Department is looking volunteers to assist with its farm animals and Florida Wildlife Trail animals.

Located at 3945 Museum Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32310, the museum will offer hands-on training focused on how to prepare animal diets, clean and maintain their indoor and outdoor habitats, and assist in general chores of animal keeping.

Volunteers are to commit to 2-semesters worth of work and work two shifts a week for the weekday morning shifts of 8:30-12:30pm.

The Tallahassee Museum is a A 52-acre lakeside indoor and outdoor museum site featuring wildife, nature trails, period exhibits, events, and zipline tours. Animals, such as Florida black bears, a Florida panther, bobcats, red wolves, river otters, and more can be found at the spot.

According to the museum, this position is outdoors and physical, and you must be 18 years old and previous animal care experience is preferred.
