The stereotype is true: college students are broke. Between paying for classes, other monthly bills, or just affording bare necessities, it’s hard to keep some money on hand for any fun activities, hobbies, and nights out. So, to make your life a little easier as a college student, here’s a list of some places in Tallahassee that will gladly reward you for carrying around your Student ID! 

Melting Pot — Grab your roommates, get dressed to the nines, and get ready to treat yourself! Every Tuesday, the Melting Pot gives college students a special treatment. You can receive $5 off any 4-course experience, or get $6 cheese or chocolate fondue per person. Make sure to have your TCC, FSU, or FAMU Student ID with you and they’ll let you in on this sweet deal. 

Namaste Yoga — If you’re looking to escape from the stress of upcoming assignments or exams, take advantage of the discounts offered at Namaste Yoga. College students get discounted rates on this yoga studio’s drop-in class price and their 5-, 10-, and 20-pass prices as well. If you’re thinking about a monthly membership, students get $10 off the typical monthly rate as well. 

Tallahassee Museum — At this local museum, your Student ID can get you tons of benefits. For college students, you can purchase a year-long Student General Membership for only $25. This membership gives you museum admission for one person, as well as other bonuses such as discounts on the Tree to Tree Zipline tickets, discounted or free admission to various museum events, and discounted additional admission tickets. 

Theatre Tallahassee — For those who love theatre, you can show your support to one of our local theatres, Theatre Tallahassee, at a discounted price. For any mainstage production, students receive a $10 discount off their admission ticket prices. During their 2019-2020 season, the theatre will feature 9 shows beginning in August and ending in June.

Alumni Hall — If you’re in search for the cutest game day gear and FSU merchandise, Alumni Hall prioritizes the students that decide to shop with them. At this FSU retail store, students can receive a 10% discount on their purchase as long as they have a valid student ID. Stay up-to-date on the latest Seminole fashion trends as football season approaches!

Tallahassee Film Society — Located at the All Saint Cinema in the Tallahassee Amtrak Station, the Tallahassee Film Society (TFS) offers college students in Tallahassee a discounted membership rate- only $20 for a year. With this membership you get benefits like one free pass to a TFS showing, discounted admission to all TFS features, and discounted ticket prices at Regal’s Governor’s Square Theaters. 

850 Crossfit — For students who enjoy a good workout, Tallahassee’s very own crossfit gym is for you! The local 850 Crossfit holds classes bright and early and in the evening Monday-Friday. On Saturdays, they hold one mid-morning class. For students, the gym offers a $40 discount off their typical monthly rate.
